Jennifer Lopez's new Netflix project has been paused after an outbreak of Covid-19 among the production team. Filming on directed by Niko Caro, has been halted due to several positive cases among the crew, according to magazine.

The majority of the project - which follows an assassin who comes out of hiding to protect her daughter and also stars Joseph Fiennes, Gael García Bernal, and Omari Hardwick - was shot in Canada in 2021. It is unclear if Jennifer has tested positive.

The decision comes after several TV shows were also suspended in the first week of 2022 after breakouts of coronavirus on the sets o NCIS,Chicago Fire , Grey's Anatomy and The Rookie.

The firefighter drama had only just resumed filming after the holiday break when the order came to shut down production.
As per , production - which takes place on location in Chicago - will hopefully be back up and running by early next week.

Over at ABC, at least three Los Angeles-based dramas, includingand , have delayed production after the holidays as a result of the highly infectious variant.
While and spinoff are expected to resume production on 12 January, it's not known when will start up again.
The outbreak could wreak havoc on the plans to shoot a crossover episode
Fox’s will also restart shooting a week later than expected while a cast member of has tested positive, causing uncertainty whether the much-anticipated crossover with spinoff NCIS: Hawai'i will happen.
"Further production delays and shutdowns across Hollywood TV production are expected even with most casts and crews fully vaccinated as the Omicron variant has been causing an unprecedented number of breakthrough infections," the publication reports.
"Studios are currently monitoring the situation and awaiting more testing data before making decisions on how to proceed."
